Hello MC distance runners! For those of you struggling with how to ramp your mileage up with a consistent and controlled plan, I mapped out the next 6 weeks, day-by-day activity starting today, Monday, 7/13/26 with a variety of scenarios to fit almost everyone! (PDF)
First, find what scenario best “fits” where your current mileage is now and your goals (i.e. Group 2b, “Varsity Girls/ Developing Varsity Boys” ramping from 30 miles/wk to 40 miles/wk by Aug 22.
Next, just follow the plan for every day! …If you’re not sure what plan best fits you (especially freshmen), please check with Coach Greg!
